New Media days and conference 'Media Culture: pros and cons'

SibFU will host New Media days from 8 to 9 November 2012. The event is part of the conference 'Pro and Contra of Media Culture'.
The organizers are MediaArtLab (Moscow); Institute for the Humanities, SibFU; Krasnoyarsk Film Theatre 'Cinema House', 'Tvori-Gora' Art Lab. The project is supported by Michael Prokhorov Foundation and Mondrian Foundation.
The event includes an unconference to discuss the high-tech trends in contemporary art. Attendees will include artists, curators, journalists and students. This year conference topic is heritage and contemporary practice.
Lecturers will speak on digital art, media culture and intedisciplinary practices.

Professor Dmitry Galkin, Tomsk State University, media researcher.
The event will include a round table on media education and video show of LOOP Fair media art festival.
