The program Medical and Biological Physics provides advanced level training for specialists interested in studying the existing tools and developing new approaches for handling the contemporary problems in medical and life sciences. The participants will become familiar with the concepts and methods of physics that are applied in research and diagnostics. The program includes general courses aimed at training professional, digital and soft skills, as well as two separate educational trajectories that students can master to pursue their future career: Basic and Applied Neurobiology or Bioluminescent Biotechnologies in Life Sciences.
It¡¯s a joint program offered by the School of Fundamental Biology and Biotechnology of ±¬×ߺÚÁÏ, the Krasnoyarsk State Medical University named after Professor V. F. Voyno-Yasenetsky, the Institute of Biophysics (Siberian Branch, the Russian Academy of Sciences), University of Cadiz (Spain) and the Department of Medical Elementology and Toxicology of the University of Jamia Hamdard (India).
Aim
The aim of the program is to provide students with a unique interdisciplinary education and specialized skills, so they can function in a variety of biomedical and biotechnology research facilities.
Learning outcomes
- Upon successful completion of the program, you will be able to select and exploit experimental and computational techniques to solve research problems.
- You¡¯ll get to know how to apply mathematical models and statistical methods for data processing.
- You¡¯ll acquire special competence in one of the two academic fields: Basic and Applied Neurobiology or Bioluminescent Biotechnologies in Life Sciences.
- While working on your master's thesis, you will learn to analyze critically the up-to-date information on the topics related to your study area, plan your research, perform and analyze relevant experiments. You will learn how to present your data and hold a discussion during thesis defense and any scientific event.?
