SibFU is the winner of Universiade 2012, the competition held among tertiary educational institutions in Krasnoyarsk and Krasnoyarsk Krai. The Institute of Commerce and Economics, SibFU, won the First Award in Smaller Universiade (among the institutions with the number of students lower than 2500.
The winners received certificates and awards at the municipal sport festival launching the application campaign to stage World Winter Universiade 2019.
