SibFU is a partner for four TEMPUS projects.

• ENMDA — Enhancement of Russian creative education: new Master program in Digital Arts in line with EU standards. Project head is Professor Maria Kulikova, the project belongs to the Institute of Architecture and Design, SibFU, coordinator is Universidade Aberta (Portugal).
• ACES — Applied Computing in Engineering and Science. Project head is Dr Alexey Kytmanov, Associate Professor from the Institute of Space and Information Technologies, coordinator is Vienna University of Technology (Austria).
• ALLMEET — Actions of Lifelong Learning Addressing Multicultural Education and Tolerance in Russia. Project head is Professor Olga Smolyaninova from the Institute of Education, Psychology and Sociology, coordinator is Alma Mater Studiorum Universita di Bologna (Italy).
• UNICO — Lifelong Language Learning University Centre Network for New Career Opportunities and Personal Development. Project head is Veronika Obidina, a staff member from the Department of International Projects and Programmes, the project belongs to the Institute of Economics, Management and Environmental Studies, coordinator is Universidad de Córdoba (Испания).

According to Natalia Edwards, Head of Research Support Centre, SibFU's teams tend to respond to TEMPUS calls that aim to support reforming and updating higher education in partner countries (EC non-members).

?These are highly competitive calls as they involve Eastern European countries, Central Asia, Western Balkans and Mediterranean countries that have partners in European universities. The funding covers updating and developing study programmes according to Bologna academic standards and academic exchange. These features attract SibFU's faculty and students?, — Natalia Edwards said.

?Our teams have been working on 69 TEMPUS applications since 2010. The EC has supported 3 projects (Polytechnic Institute, Institute of Economics, Management and Environmental Studies, Institute of Space and Information Technologies). It is for the first time that SibFU's projects were so generously supported: four projects out of twenty received funding in 2013.

The educational teams from the Institute of Space and Information Technologies, Institute of Economics, Management and Environmental Studies, Institute of Education, Psychology and Sociology, and Institute of Architecture and Design will develop new study programmes and life long learning opportunities, take part in academic exchange and develop career opportunities for local target groups. The projects will last for two or three years?.
