The event attracted representatives of eight countries and seventeen RF regions. There was a session on preparing Krasnoyarsk to host XIX World Winter Universiade. The session considered the experience of other cities that hosted major sport events.

First Vice President of FISU Oleg Matytsin spoke about the conference as an initial stage to discuss the future Universiade after the confirmation of its status of the capital for winter student sports. ?In particular, we shall discuss how prepared Krasnoyarsk and SibFU are to hosting Winter Universiade. We know that the level of student sports development in Russia meets international standards. SibFU is a leader in sports training among universities.?, — Oleg Matytsin said.

Kairat Zakirianov, Kazakhstan's President of Student Sports Federation, President of the International Association of Physical Education and Sports Universities, shared his experience of coordinating major sports events. He said that Kazakhstan's experience of coordinating and hosting sports competitions will be shared with Krasnoyarsk. ?There will be a lot of collaboration next year, now it seems necessary to speak about the high quality of Krasnoyarsk sports buildings that I could see. SibFU's venues are quite suitable for building athletes' villages?, —Kazakhstan's representative said. Almaty will be hosting Winter Universiade two years before Krasnoyarsk in 2017.

Deputy Director, Institute of Physical Education, Sports and Tourism, SibFU, Alexander Bliznevsky spoke about an important SibFU's project to be discussed at the conference: ?The conference will discuss how SibFU can join the International Organization of Sports Universities. In addition, the university senior administration have already signed a collaboration agreement on experience exchange with Kazakhstan?.
