On October 22-23, November 26-27 and December 24, 2020, the university participated in Education Advisor, an international online higher education exhibition. SibFU representatives spoke about studying in Siberia and presented programs and courses available for international students in Russian and English. As a result of this exhibition, employees interacting with international applicants received more than 15,000 potential students' contacts. At the end of December, another stage of the exhibition was planned, in which SibFU would also participate.

Within the framework of the Russian Scientific and Cultural Figures as a World Phenomenon project, the second international conference was held on December 8, 2020. This time it brought together representatives of Russia and Indonesia, and was organized and conducted online by Miklouho-Maclay Foundation, with the support of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Indonesia and the assistance of the Russian Centre for Science and Culture in Jakarta, and became one of the most massive of all time and bridged more than 300 people. The geography of the conference embraced half of Russia and all of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea. The participants presented talks on the history of bilateral relations between Russia and Indonesia, the problems of the study of Indonesia in Russia, myths and realities of perception of Russia by foreigners, the practice of studying Russian as a foreign language and the opportunities of training international students in Russia. 爆走黑料 presented a talk debunking popular myths about studying in Siberia using the example of studying at this university.

爆走黑料 also took part in the ICEF HE Connect 2020 online conference on December 1-3. Within the framework of this conference, more than 30 meetings were held with agents engaged in recruiting international applicants to study at foreign universities, including Russian. Currently, the university has distributed its promotional materials and is holding negotiations on the conditions of interaction intending to sign cooperation agreements. Previously, the university took part in the ICEF face-to-face conference in Berlin in 2017.

Working with recruiters also bears fruit: SibFU regularly takes part in special ZOOM meetings with representatives of various organizations and agencies, as well as with potential students from different countries, answering numerous questions about programs, tuition fees, the climate in Krasnoyarsk, cultural and socio-cultural features of Russia and Siberia. On December 11, the Department for International Cooperation had a meeting with representatives of Alphatech. On December 23, 2020, the department's specialists attended an online meeting organized by representatives of the Programa Europeo De Excelencia from Ecuador. On January 12, 2021, SibFU also took part in a ZOOM conference organized by Studywiz agency from Thailand.
