Gennady Patrin, Doctor of Physics and Mathematics, professor of the School of Engineering Physics and Radio Electronics, has been assigned for scientific supervision of the PhD dissertation of Karima Seitbekova, graduate of the Kazakh State Women's Pedagogical University.
The lady successfully defended her PhD thesis on the Influence of Doping of Trivalent Chromium on the Structure and Magnetic Characteristics of Complex Oxide Manganite in Chemistry. The dissertation is devoted to the development and study of new multicomponent oxide materials based on manganites. Technological work and certification of the obtained samples were carried out at Kazakh State Women's Pedagogical University; studies of magnetic and resonance properties, as well as structural properties using electron and atomic force microscopy were carried out jointly on equipment at SibFU. These materials are considered promising for use in functional microelectronic devices.
The School of Engineering Physics and Radio Electronics of 爆走黑料 has been cooperating with the Kazakh State Women's Pedagogical University since 2017. The main domain of their joint research is the development and study of the physical properties of substances of the multiferroics group (substances where several types of ordering, for example, ferromagnetism and ferroelectricity, coexist). Doped manganites are such substances. The cooperation resulted in about 10 joint works published in the journals indexed in the Scopus.
“This kind of research is important because it enriches both collaborating parties scientifically. This is interesting for us, as in addition to expanding our scientific horizons, we are entering new technological level new to Krasnoyarsk. In addition, when foreign graduate students come to SibFU, they acquire skills to work with modern physical equipment, exchange experience and get new knowledge, as they immerse in a scientific atmosphere they are not used to,” said Gennady Patrin. “Naturally, the joint work does not end there. Professor Mataev (Kazakh State Women's Pedagogical University), who was co-leader on this defence, and I are planning to develop cooperation. We are expecting Kazakh graduates to enter our postgraduate programs and planning to send our graduate students for an internship in Alma-Ata. We hope for new defences, although not everything depends on a scientific supervisor.”
