The final ranking of entrepreneurial universities includes 43 Russian universities (46 in 2020). SibFU entered top 22–24 group by improving the overall score from 45 to 55. For the ranking, they evaluated such criteria as the number of start-ups, the share of projects supported, and the amount of investments.

It is notable that this ranking uses external sources and international databases (Crunchbase, AngelList, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, VK), which allows comparing Russian and foreign universities and identifying areas for improvement. The final verified base of start-ups created by Russian citizens contains information on 2,781 founders, with a total amount of attracted investments of about $11.3 billion ($6.8 billion in 2020). The overwhelming majority of Russian start-ups are in the field of information technology, robotics, AI and education.
