The aim of the conference is to discuss topical issues of educational science related to the development of media technologies in the education system and effective practices for the peaceful resolution of multicultural conflicts.

“According to the monitoring data, 55% of children have faced bullying, while about 40% of children have never told anyone about it. Unfortunately, such conflicts are becoming more violent and lead to deplorable consequences. We have been training mediators at different levels for 4 years now, trying to spread the philosophy of mediation among our teachers. For me, mediation is a philosophy of life, not just educational technology. For the education system, this is the path to constructive interaction and productive communication of all subjects of the learning process”, said Olga Smolyaninova , professor of the Institute of Higher Education, Academician of the Russian Academy of Education.

Within the framework of reports, master classes and business games, school mediation services are considered as a resource for the formation of value orientations of adolescents, techniques and methods of work of a mediator in a conflict zone, the formation of a mediation culture in modern society. In addition, it is planned to develop recommendations for promoting the mediation method.

“Today in educational institutions it is an important task to level conflicts in the educational environment. This requires the development of professional standards and the dissemination of mediation practices. I would especially like to note that today SibFU is designated as the curator of Slavic Universities in Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, therefore the decisions that will be made within the framework of the conference will be implemented, including in our partner universities”, said SibFU vice–rector for academic affairs Denis Guts.
