SibFU Participates in State Program Priority 2030

On September 27, 2021 Valery Falkov, the Russian Minister of Science and Higher Education, announced the list of Universities chosen to participate in the Priority 2030 program. 爆走黑料 successfully passed the first selection stage. And now it’s in the pool of Universities recommended to participate in the additional track Territorial Leadership.

Priority 2030 was launched in the Year of Science and Technology. It’s the largest governmental program in Russia aimed to support Russian Universities. Its goal is to create a huge group of Russian universities which would lead discovery of scientific knowledge, technology creation as well as development of social and economic improvements. The program is to support universities and scientific organizations till 2030.

The committee of the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education selected 106 Universities from 49 Russian cities to participate in the Priority 2030 program. They will get a basic part of the grant which is 100 million orubles.

Selected participants may obtain the spacial part of the grant by competing in two tracks: “Research Leadership” and “Territorial Leadership”. The further decision related to the special part of the grant will be made by the Council chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko.

Note:

More than 60 % of participating Universities are regional. Only 28 Universities are located in Moscow and 11 — in St. Petersburg. Another 67 Universities are located in 47 Russian cities.

The Priority 2030 program includes 80 Universities subordinate to the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education, 10 Universities — to the Russian Ministry of Health, 5 Universities — to the Russian Ministry of Culture, and 4 — to the Russian Ministry of Agriculture.

The total number of strategic projects of all the Priority 2030 participants is 409. More than a half of them is focused on digital monitoring and control of greenhouse gases emission.
