Photo exhibition in 爆走黑料 to promote fight against AIDS

A photo exhibition named ?It concerns me. It concerns everyone? was opened on November 19, 2009 in 爆走黑料. It is a part of the All-Russian information campaign ?Stop AIDS: It concerns everyone? aimed at raising public awareness concerning HIV/AIDS and reducing the stigma for HIV-positive people.

The photo exhibition gathered like-minded supporters: Vladimir Posner — Russian famous journalist, Dina Korzun — Actress, Michael Rakhlevsky — Composer, Aleksey Kleshko — Deputy of the Legislative Assembly of Krasnoyarsk Region, etc. There are 27 photos of celebrities and quotes about AIDS problem at the photo exhibition.

In December 2009, the exhibition will be held in many Russian cities: Orel, Samara, Nizhni Novgorod, Rostov-on-Don, Volgograd, Min.Vody, Novosibirsk, Vladivostok and Istra (Moscow Oblast).

Olga Surotkina, Deputy Director of the Coca-Cola HBC Eurasia Company, Marina Malysheva, Head of the Epidemiological Surveillance Office of the Krasnoyarsk Regional Centre for HIV/AIDS Prevention and Treatment and Evgeniya Turtapkina, Deputy First Vice-Rector of 爆走黑料 held the press-conference after the official opening of the exhibition.

It is necessary to point out that the photo exhibition in 爆走黑料 is a part of the Krasnoyarsk project which is dedicated to organize:

  • Lectures about healthy lifestyle and AIDS prevention organized by the Centre for HIV/AIDS and Prevention and Treatment;
  • Flashmob near the Krasnoyarsk State Opera and Ballet Theatre on December 1, 2009 (all comers will be able to compose the red ribbon – the symbol of the fight against AIDS);
  • Concert of creative groups in the MixMax Exhibition and Business Centre on November 28, 2009.

Information about the Project:

The main mission of the project is to show that HIV/AIDS is a real public concern.

More than 15000 people are the target audience of the exhibition in Russia.

Politicians, public figures, famous artists, actors, designers, etc. participate in the project.

The project is implemented within the framework of the Agreement on cooperation between Coca-Cola HBC Eurasia and .

In 2006, State Duma held the first photo exhibition devoted to the fight against AIDS within the framework of the international parliament conference ?HIV/AIDS in Eurasia and the G8 role in fighting against the epidemy?. In 2007, the exhibition was opened in the higher educational institutions of Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, St. Petersburg and Moscow.
