The documentary photo exhibition called ?Oil as a Piece of Art? was opened at the SibFU Institute of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering. It is primarily devoted to oil industry development at the Krasnoyarsk territory. The exhibition will be opened till February 2011.

There are for about 100 works of Krasnoyarsk and Moscow photographers who visited the Vankor oil field at different times. The latest photos were made in August 2010. Among authors are: Boris Barmin, Aleksander Kuznetsov, Ivan Tabakaev, Aleksey Snetkov, Aleksander Zemlyanichenko, Konstantin Leifer, Konstantin Ushakov, Vladimir Barabash, etc.

Having opened the exhibition, Nicolai Dovzhenko, Director of the SibFU Institute of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering and Sergey Pyatkov, Head of the Public Relations Office of CJSC ?Vankorneft? made the excursion for students. When the exhibition is closed, one photo work will be presented to the SibFU Institute of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering.


Nicolai Dovzhenko pointed out that the exhibition shows all the stages of the Vankor oil field development and helps students to get an insight into the technology and working conditions which they will face in the future while working in the oil industry.
