The research project called ?Personal Heartbeat Monitor? of Andrey Mishurov, postgraduate student of the SibFU Institute of Engineering Physics and Radio Electronics generated mass interest of the participants of the exhibition devoted to R&D projects in the field of medicine elaborated within the fellowship of the Krasnoyarsk Regional Fund for Scientific and Technical Activity Support. The exhibition was held on November 26, 2010 in Krasnoyarsk State Medical University. V. Evstratko, P. Sharshavin, A. Gorchakovsky and I. Lopin, SibFU students also made a huge contribution to set the medical device into operation.
The Personal Heartbeat Monitor enables to measure parameters of heart activities at home of at the hospital at any time. ECG results can be transmitted on-line from patient to doctor enabling to monitor continuously the patient’s state. It differs from the others by operability and low traffic expenses.
Vasily Morgun, Member of Legislative Assembly of the Krasnoyarsk territory, Member of the Committee on Education, Science and Culture distinguished the project and said: ?The device should be instantly set into serial production?. Sergey Panko, SibFU professor and Project’s Coordinator pointed out that the ready-to-use test model had already been elaborated. If the financial support is provided, the device production will be on the run.
