The SibFU Spanish Language Centre is organizing special events devoted to the Year of Russia in Spain and the Year of the Kingdom of Spain in Russia - 2011. The following events are planned to be organized in the Centre:

• The Spanish culture’s week in 爆走黑料;
• On-line conference for the young scientists of Spanish universities and Russian federal universities ?Spain and Russia: Dialogue of Cultures in terms of the Contemporary Civilizational Paradigm?;
• Fellowship contest for participation in the exchange programs with the Spanish universities;
• The Spanish language courses for students, postgraduate students, staff members and all citizens of Krasnoyarsk.

Natalya Burmakina, Head of the SibFU Spanish Language Centre pointed out that the plan of activities - 2011 also comprises the cross-cultural trainings, Salsa celebration events and meetings within the framework of the literature workshop traditionally held on a week basis to promote the Spanish language and culture in Krasnoyarsk. The literature workshops enable students to improve their knowledge of the language and learn how to write poems in Spanish. Pablo Terradilios, the UCA professor, the Spanish language teacher said that ?literature workshops are commonly used to study language in Spain. All people are able to participate in the workshops no matter what level of the language knowledge they have. The most important thing is a drive to study the language. Students improve their knowledge of Spanish by reciting poems step by step. It’s really important for me to present Spanish poetry to students and help them to understand Spanish culture through the literature and the language?.
