Vladimir Kolmakov, First Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Sergey Verkhovets, First Vice-Rector for Research and International Cooperation, Sergey Podlesny, Vice-Rector for Master’s Programs and Territorial Education Network represented the University.
?The University is interested in developing contacts with RusHydro, as well as in creating joint projects related to science and education. It is important to outline ways of collaboration and undertake commitments to cooperation in the next year?, - said Vladimir Kolmakov at the opening of the meeting.
Participants of the meeting discussed the priority activities and projects to implement the Strategic Partnership Agreement between SibFU and RusHydro in 2011, as well as propositions for SibFU to participate in the implementation of the RusHydro’s program of innovation development and formation of the technology platform ?Advanced technologies of renewable energy?.
Sergey Podlesny highlighted a number of priority activities for 2011. The agreement suggests as follows:
Thus, joint development of educational programs for Bachelor's and Master's degrees in ?Power and Electrical Engineering? is planned for the next year. Given that the work on the creation of national standards in the field of hydropower engineering based on modernization of international standards began in 2010, this direction becomes especially urgent. In addition, it is planned to provide students with educational scholarships from JSC RusHydro, as well as with the opportunity for SibFU and SibFU Sayano-Shushensky branch students to undergo practical training in the branches of JSC RusHydro.
Considering the volume of joint activities and in order to improve the process of implementing the Agreement, it was suggested to create a collegiate body - SibFU-JSC RusHydro Governing Board.
Vyacheslav Glagovsky, First Deputy Director General, Scientific Supervisor of The B.E.Vedeneev All-Russian Research Institute of Hydraulic Engineering, spoke about the projects of his Institute that is mostly aimed at the implementation of research, innovation, development projects in the field of hydraulic engineering, power engineering, industrial and civil construction, water industry.
At the meeting there were suggestions for R&D planning made by Evgeny Boyko, Deputy Director of the SibFU Polytechnic Institute, Vladimir Kulagin, Head of the Chair of Hydrodynamics and Heat Engineering, Vladimir Moskvichev, Head of the Chair of Diagnostic and Safety of Technical Systems, Georgy Shaidurov, Head of the Chair of Radio systems, Mikhail Golovin, Head of the Chair of Computer-Aided Engineering of the SibFU Polytechnic Institute, Vladimir Tremyasov, Dean of the Department of Electromechanical Engineering of SibFU the Polytechnic Institute, Gennady Masalsky, Head of the Chair of Robotics and Technical Cybernetics. Vasily Zubakin, Director of the SibFU Sayano-Shushensky branch, expressed an interest in research projects related to permafrost: ?Our first large-scale meeting had a great success. I believe that it is necessary to move towards commercialization of the results and cooperation with Skolkovo, to develop cooperation in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energy sources?. It should be noted that research work on order of RusHydro has been carried out earlier, for example, in 2003-2005 the researchers carried out such studies as the calculation of critical behavior of generating units of the Sayano-Shushenskaya hydroelectric plant and prediction of heat generation of its reservoir.
