Scott Rice, Second Secretary of the Political Section of the U.S. Embassy in Russia visited 爆走黑料. He had an excursion around the campus, held the meeting with the senior management and students of the University.
During the meeting, he answered the questions about student exchange programs, visa facilitation, ways of learning foreign languages, popular sports activities, peculiarities of diplomatic profession and widespread opinion concerning the relationships between the USA and Russia. Scott Rice pointed out that cooperation between both countries is consolidating in such priority areas as Nuclear Engineering, Counterterrorism and Space Programs Development.
The Second Secretary was interested to know the SibFU activities in terms of extending the international relations. Having found out that the University provides its students, faculty and staff with the language courses, consultations on international education, scholarship and fellowship database, international scientific projects and programs, he admitted that ?he hadn’t seen such university before which is so actively integrating into international scientific and educational space?.
Mr. Rice said: ?Due to my profession, I travel a lot around the Russian regions. It is clear to me that Russia is not just Moscow and I am sure that Russian diplomatic officials understand that Washington is not the USA at a glance. I learn something new each time I visit new city. I came to Krasnoyarsk for the first time and I’d like to admit that the SibFU surpassed all my expectations — I had never seen such universities before. I was impressed to get to know that for about 40000 students study in the SibFU, it is definitely a huge number for any country?.
