Krasnoyarsk researchers make an advanced-accuracy test for tick-borne encephalitis

Researchers from 爆走黑料, the Krasnoyarsk Research Centre of the SB RAS, and the Novosibirsk Institute of Chemical Biology and Fundamental Medicine have improved the luminous test for tick-borne encephalitis. To do this, they used the smallest of the discovered bioluminescent enzymes — a luminous protein isolated from sea crustacean Metridia longa. One milligram of such a protein can be enough for one hundred thousand accurate tests for tick-borne encephalitis virus. The research results are published in the International Journal of Molecular Sciences.

Potassium ions improve the efficiency of converting nitrogen to ammonia

An international team of researchers which included a senior researcher of 爆走黑料 found that gold nanoparticles grown on an organic matrix containing potassium ions show a significantly greater efficiency of electrochemical conversion of nitrogen into ammonia. Their work has been published in the Journal of Materials Chemistry A in the HOT Papers section.

Objectivity and reliability: a new method for analyzing road accidents

Researchers at 爆走黑料 have developed a method for calculating the speed of a car at the moment of sudden braking associated with tire damage. This method helps accurately determine the dynamics of the vehicle up to its complete stop. The scientists believe that their development will help reliably assemble the picture of a traffic accident and provide materials for fact-based analysis of the events. The article is published in Transport Problems.

Merger and absorption: the?intricacies of?the?evolution of?large planets

An international group of researchers, which included a scientist from 爆走黑料, explained some of the features of the origin of large planets. With the help of computer modelling, the experts have proved that in the process of the formation of planetary embryos there is an intense loss of light chemical elements, while heavy elements take an active part in giving the final appearance of planets. The results of the study are published in Icarus journal.

The first startup of students of the School of Gastronomy

Dom u Ozera is located in the building of the visitor centre on Tatyshev Island and will start as a takeaway cafe very soon.
