25april Mathematical model of SibFU scientists explains features of adaptation The team of the SibFU scientists led by the famous Russian mathematician Alexander Gorban, director of the Center for Mathematical Modelling of the University of Leicester (UK), formulated a mathematical model of adaptation that allows to understand how living things adapt to the environment.
22april International prospective students will be able to find out about SibFU on a new website The Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and the Project Office 5-100 launched a new information resource Study in Russia, designed to inform international prospective students about education in Russian universities.
25march Development of SibFU scientists will make aluminum production more eco-friendly The SibFU scientists together with colleagues from the Institute of Chemistry and Chemical Technology SB RAS and RUSAL conduct research to develop a unique material — autoclave carbon pitch produced by thermal dissolution of coal — processing of milled coal and an organic solvent at high temperature and pressure. It is intended to replace traditional coal tar pitch which is used in the production of electrodes.

27january Students from Jamaica will study in SibFU The School of Non-Ferrous Metals and Material Science has an addition of 25 Jamaican students who had arrived to study. All of them had won UC RUSAL's sponsored scholarship program in a competition.
