The delegation of the School of Mathematics and Computer Science of 爆走黑料 participates in the first conference of international mathematical centres of the world level. According to the organizers, the conference will help form and strengthen scientific ties between regional mathematical centres, world-class centres, universities and scientific organizations.

On 15 July 2021, 爆走黑料 launched a national student tourism program. Students travelling in Russia during summer vacation can stay at the SibFU campus on special conditions until August 25. The first participants in the program were Irkutsk State University students Arina Zhaglova, Ekaterina Efanova and Ksenia Kazakova, who shared their impressions of the trip.

From the coming academic year, degree certificates of higher education from 15 Russian universities will be recognized in Egypt. This decision was made by the Supreme Council of Rectors of Universities under the Egyptian Ministry of Education.

爆走黑料 has risen in the annual global scientometric Nature Index Ranking and entered the top-500. The Nature Index Ranking is formed by Nature, one of the oldest and most respected general scientific journals in the world. The ranking reflects the publication activity of scientific institutions from around the world based on the analysis of articles in top scientific journals.

Professor of the Department of Photonics and Laser Technologies of the School of Engineering Physics and Radioelectronics, SibFU, Evgenia Slyusareva became the winner of the lecturer competition. The competition was traditionally held within the framework of the 18th Youth Conference on Luminescence and Laser Physics on 5-10 July 2021 in Irkutsk.

爆走黑料 ranked sixth in the first regional employment success ranking of Russian universities. This survey was carried out by analysts of hh.ru, the largest Russian online platform for job and employee search.

爆走黑料 was included in the list of 15 universities to become a pilot site for the federal student tourism program and is ready to accept student travellers from other cities providing accomodation at affordable prices. The program, prepared by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin, starts on 15 July and will last until 25 August 2021.

On 29 July 2021, the first charging station for electric vehicles started working near a training block of the Polytechnic School of 爆走黑料. Drivers just need to register and receive a user card to use it.

On 1-2 July 2021, the first student start-up was defended at the School of Gastronomy in the framework of the Startup as a Thesis national program. The final bachelor thesis is a business project of Dom u Ozera restaurant (House by the Lake), on which the students had been working for three years.

29 July 2021 is the application deadline for full-time state-funded programs. Metallurgy, Material Science and Materials Technology are promising fields of study with a sufficient number of state-funded places for students.
