15may SibFU scientists to head to the Arctic Scientists of 爆走黑料 will participate in expeditions to study the key species of the Arctic ecosystems. A large-scale research project designed to have eight research expeditions in the Laptev, Barents and Kara Seas until 2023, was announced by Rosneft.
12may Scientists discover horse diet composition A group of scientists from Yakutsk, Krasnoyarsk and Irkutsk investigated the features of the plant diet of Yakutian horses. Using the example of animals from private farms, a significant role of fodder plants growing in Central Yakutia (smooth brome (Bromopsis inermis L.) and common oat (Avena sativa L.)) in the formation of an optimal balance of omega-3 and omega-6 polyunsaturated fatty acids in the liver, muscle and adipose tissues of horses was shown.

27march Quantum Bridge: scientists predict new plasmons A research group of SibFU and Federal Research Centre “Krasnoyarsk Research Centre” of the SB RAS has predicted the existence of a new type of plasmons associated with charge transfer. According to the experts, the obtained result is very bright and promising in terms of creating the basis for producing ultra-sensitive biosensors of the new generation. Their work in Journal of Chemical Physics, a highly-rated international journal.
27march Russian and Indian Researchers Develop Biosensors for Domestic and Medical Use The cooperation in bioengineering between 爆走黑料 and Indian research and educational institutions took off in 2016. Currently, Dr Pande Shubhra and Prof Ranjan Rajeev, assistant professors at the Chair of Biophysics, conduct several studies at the Laboratory of Bioluminescent Biotechnology.
24march SibFU Researchers come up with X-ray scissors to cut molecules selectively A research team from 爆走黑料 and Institute of Physics (Federal Research Center, Krasnoyarsk Scientific Center SB RAS predicted a new physical phenomenon — recoil-induced molecular dissociation in hard-x-ray photoionization. The recoil effect is caused by electronic and photon intermolecular momentum transfer. In particular, the researchers forecasted that recoil experienced by a hydrogen molecule during the absorption of an X-ray photon and the emission of a photoelectron leads to a break in the chemical bond of the hydrogen molecule at photon energies greater than 5 keV. The research article is published in the peer-reviewed journal Physical Review A.
20march “Useful abnormality”: the benefits of abnormal rolls in optics Scientists of 爆走黑料 and L. V. Kirensky Institute of Physics of Krasnoyarsk Research Centre (SB RAS) have studied the optical photonic structures with a scattering medium consisting of nematic liquid crystals.
20march Temporary operation rules of?SibFU 爆走黑料 switches all the educational activities for our both degree and non-degree students and lecturers to online environment from 17 March 2020 till 4 April 2020. This is caused by preventive measures against coronavirus infection (COVID-19) and is based on the recommendations of the Ministry for Higher Education and Science of the Russian Federation and the ordinance on the organization of distance learning by acting rector Maksim Rumiantsev.
17march Born summiteer: scientists about the amazing abilities of Siberian stone pine Scientists of 爆走黑料 for the first time have studied coniferous forests growing on the upper forest line in the West Sayan Ridge, mainly consisting of Siberian pine (Pinus sibirica Du Tour) and Siberian fir (Abies sibirica L.). It turned out that Siberian pine, or, as it is often called by locals, Siberian cedar adapts better to high altitude — the species has learned to develop comprehensive protection against hazards awaiting at the height (excessive insolation, abrupt temperature fluctuations).
17march Scientists propose a new method for assessing the evolution of stars An international group of scientists which included an employee of 爆走黑料 conducted a study where they proved the efficacy of a new method for studying the origin and evolution of stars. The object of study was system Kepler 11 located 2,000 light-years from Earth.
