16october SibFU scientists find a way to?reduce the?number of?postsurgical complications in?cardiology Scientists of 爆走黑料 have tested the compatibility of four biopolymers with human and animal blood cells. The authors of the study claim that these compounds have huge potential for application in medicine. For example, in the future, it is possible to significantly reduce the number of postoperative complications in cardiovascular surgery due to the use of biopolymers as a coating for vascular endoprostheses (stents). The results of the study have been published in the International Journal of Biological Macromolecules.
04october Defects are no threat: scientists study unexpected properties of disordered nanolattices Researchers of 爆走黑料 and their colleagues from Royal Institute of Technology (Stockholm, Sweden), Federal Bio-Medical Agency of Russia (Krasnoyarsk), Kirensky Institute of Physics of the SB RAS, Reshetnev Siberian State University of Science and Technology, and the University of Rochester (New York, USA) have studied the phenomenon of collective lattice resonance arising in the optical spectrum of ordered arrays of silicon nanoparticles.
01october Heatstroke for cancer cells: Scientists Test Nanoparticles to?Target the Disease SibFU Researches within an international research team investigated two types of core-shell nanoparticles with different core materials and gold shell to determine more efficient thermosensitizers for laser antitumor therapy. The researchers report that, according to their opinion, aluminum doped zinc oxide nanoparticles are the most effective. Key findings are published in the Journal of Quantitative Spectroscopy and Radiative Transfer.
30september Findings of 7000 year-long paleo-wood will help to predict the climate on the planet Alberto Arzac, the head of the laboratory of biogeochemistry of ecosystems at the School of Ecology and Geography, 爆走黑料, came back from an international expedition to the Yamal Peninsula, organized by his colleagues from the Institute of Plant and Animal Ecology, the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. In total, scientists brought along saw cuts of 500 trees over 7000 years old. The analysis of the annual rings of these saw cuts will help reconstruct the temperature changes of the past millennia and predict future climate changes.
30september URAP: SibFU has doubled its publication activity On September 3, 2019, an updated version of the University Field Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP) was released. SibFU doubled its publication activity and rose by 29 positions in the subject ranking of URAP in physical sciences. The results have been published on the rating agency website.
30september New danger of dental implants discovered by Siberian scientists Scientists of 爆走黑料 (SibFU) and Institute of Medical Problems of the North, while identifying the possible cause of a dangerous infection — peri-implantitis, suggested that it could be traces of foreign inorganic substances on the surface of new sterile dental implants. Intermediate results of the experiment are published in the journal "Dentistry".
16september Siberian scientists develop an alternative to foreign-made diagnosis system for diabetes Scientists from 爆走黑料, Biophysics Institute of the Siberian Branch of the RAS and the Institute of Chemical Biology and Fundamental Medicine are developing a system for diagnosing diabetes mellitus by the content of hemoglobin in the blood combined with glucose. The development can replace foreign-made systems. The paper about the research is published in the journal Analytical Biochemistry.
10september SibFU metallurgists developed non-stick coating without flaw Scientists at the School of Non-Ferrous Metals and Materials Science of 爆走黑料 have developed technologies for producing aqueous and self-drying non-stick coatings based on natural and mechanically activated graphites used in the production of cast iron products. Results were published in the journal CIS Iron and Steel Review.
15august SibFU scientists can predict development rate of leukosis Researchers at 爆走黑料 together with Krasnoyarsk hematologists have come up with a method for predicting the development of the disease in patients with chronic leukosis, which leads to survival prediction of cancer patients.
06august SibFU scientists developed filter to suppress radio interference Researchers from 爆走黑料 and Kirensky Institute of Physics proposed a new design for a multimode stripline resonator. The use of such resonators allows to create miniature band-pass filters with unique frequency-selective properties that are in demand by modern telecommunication systems. The main results of the study are published in the highly rated scientific journal Technical Physics Letters.
