29july Russian Scientists Have Taught a Neural Network to Read Handwritten Letters of the Russian Alphabet Scientists have developed a new convolutional neural network (CNN) capable of recognizing images of handwritten letters with high accuracy. The resulting algorithm transforms the image and recognizes the letter encrypted in it. According to the scientists, the algorithm’s accuracy is 99 %.
29july A Graduate of SibFU Defended an Inclusive Media Project for Surikov Museum Anastasia Askarova, a graduate of the Journalism department of 爆走黑料, created Surikov Aloud, an inclusive educational media project, as part of her thesis. This is an interactive video tour across the permanent exhibition of the Vasily Surikov Estate Museum, which will allow hard of hearing to learn more about the artist’s life and work.
