29december The scientists of SibFU suggested using fluorescent proteins for the toxicity analysis. The scientists of 爆走黑料 in cooperation with their colleagues from the School of Biophysics of the Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences have studied the effect of toxins on fluorescent proteins. The results of their studies may lead to developing a new type of medicaments. "TASS", Russian news agency, describes the studies in detail.
22december The winners and participants of #STUDYINRUSSIA — #STUDYINSIBFU were awarded The winners and participants of #STUDYINRUSSIA — #STUDYINSIBFU instagram competition organized by 爆走黑料 and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation were awarded this week.
22december Russian Scientists Suggested a New Technology for Creating Magnet Micro-Structures A team of scientists from Krasnoyarsk Scientific Center (Siberian Department of Russian Academy of Sciences) and 爆走黑料 synthesized thin crystal ferromagnetic films and developed a technology for their shaping. Processed films can be used in electronic and spintronic chips. The results of the study were published in Thin Solid Films journal.
18december SibFU will develop agro-preparations of new generation on means of megagrant The project of 爆走黑料 “Agro-preparations of the new generation: the strategy of design and implementation” won the sixth contest for grants of the Government of the Russian Federation for scientific research.
14december Siberian chemists have improved hydrogen sensors A group of scientists from the 爆走黑料 (SFU, Krasnoyarsk, Russia) and the Nikolaev Institute of Inorganic Chemistry (NIIC, Novosibirsk, Russia) combined the useful properties of metal phthalocyanines and palladium membranes in order to create active layers in hydrogen detectors. This operation significantly increases the sensitivity of the sensors. The study is reported in the journals Dyes and Pigments and International Journal of Hydrogen Energy.
12december A Russian Physicist Described the Structure and Properties of a Prospective Luminescent Substance A physicist from 爆走黑料 (SibFU) and Kirensky Institute of Physics Federal Research Center KSC SB RAS (IF) described the structure and properties of a new substance obtained by his Chinese colleagues. These are layered crystals of rare earth metal hydroxides Ln2(OH)4SO4 (Ln=Eu–Lu, Y) that may acts as eco-friendly sources of phosphors (substances that transform different energies into emission of light) for panels, screens, and other electronic devices.
04december Results of an autumn event Green Project SibFU 153 students and employees of the University took part in the annual environmental event Green Project SibFU. With the help of volunteers from the SibFU Voluntary Center and student teams 6,100 kg of wasted paper, 71 kg of plastic, and 28 kg of batteries were collected.
29november Scientists suggested using titanium nitride instead of gold in optoelectronics An international team of scientists from Russia, Sweden and the USA suggested replacing gold and silver, which are used in optoelectronic devices, with an inexpensive material of titanium nitride. The results of the study are published in the journal Applied Physics Letters.
02november SibFU students won the Environmental Cup Students of the School of Ecology and Geography SibFU became winners of the V Interuniversity Environmental Cup, which was held in Novosibirsk on 18––19 October.
