Delegation from Kazakhstan visits SibFU

On 10-13 October 2022x 爆走黑料 hosted a delegation from the International University of Tourism and Hospitality (Kazakhstan). The guests toured the campus and visited Gastro Forum 2022. They also met the vice-rector and school directors and signed an agreement on for scientific and educational cooperation.

On 11–12 October 2022, Krasnoyarsk hosts the first Russian Gastro Forum 2022, where 30 experts, including restaurateurs, chefs, producers, scientists and more than 400 guests take part.

Business breakfast of Startupers and SibFU Management

On 7 October 2022, startupers and management of 爆走黑料 held a meeting at Истории student restaurant. Young entrepreneurs spoke about the technological projects that they are implementing, and also offered their ideas for the development of the university's campus. The business breakfast was organized within the framework of the Platform of University Technological Entrepreneurship federal project and the Startup Academy of the Gastronomic R&D Park strategic project.

Temperature Matters: Cold Tolerance of Luciferase Proteins

SibFU scientists two types of luciferase enzymes which are naturally found in the cells of luminous bacteria and are responsible for emitting light. Luciferase proteins synthesized in the laboratory are used in various test systems to test soil, water, and food products for toxicity. Inhibition of the luminescence of the luciferase reaction means the presence of contaminants in the samples. There are several types of bacterial luciferase. The so-called fast enzymes are already used in bioassays, and the properties of slow luciferases are to be studied in order to find practical applications for them in the future.

The priority goal of the fair is to demonstrate the achievements in the field of Russian higher education and the formation of a single informational and educational space of the CIS.

For the First Time Scientists Observe a Unique Rearrangement of Hybridization in a Lithium-Borate Crystal at Extremely Low Pressure

Scientists from Russia and China have been the first in the world to discover and describe the change in the structure in a lithium-borate crystal under the influence of pressure. The triangular coordination of oxygen atoms to boron (BO3) inside the crystal, known to chemists, changed to tetrahedral (BO4) at a pressure of 2.85 GPa. Previously, such rearrangements of atomic coordinations were deemed impossible at such low pressures since they are connected with a change in the hybridization of molecular orbitals. According to the scientists, this precedent can open up broad prospects for changing already known materials and lead to the emergence of new technologies.

Bioluminescent Protein of the Oldest Marine Animal Helps Doctors and Scientists

Scientists from 爆走黑料 and the Institute of Biophysics, Siberian branch of the Russian Academy of Science (SB RAS) of berovin, a bioluminescent protein contained in the cells of ctenophores. The data obtained on the intensity of the light signal emitted by this photoprotein will contribute to further use of its molecules as markers for visualizing various processes in human and animal living tissues, both for medical and laboratory applications.
