Herrera Calinas Stalin Fabricio, Ecuador, 2nd-year Master’s degree student, School of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering:
«Studying and living in Krasnoyarsk has been one of the most exciting things in my life. If one is aimed at long-term studying they should adjust completely to the local customs, rules, and culture. I have acquired much knowledge, got new impressions, and made new friends here. We share our experience and customs».

Teng Lei, China, graduate, School of Philology, and Language Communication:
«SibFU was my instant choice because lots of my friends lived in Krasnoyarsk and I missed them a lot. I got a bachelor’s degree, majoring in Russian as a foreign language. After four years of studying, I can state confidently that SibFU is an excellent university.
I’m well-known to all the Chinese students. China and Russia are countries with different mentalities and many students find it challenging to adapt to a new learning environment. I do my best to help them in case they need my help.
The Chinese student population in Russian universities is big due to several reasons. China and Russia have friendly relations and share their borders.
Knowledge of the Russian language is highly valued in China. That is why everyone whose job involves speaking Russian looks forward to coming to Russia.
The SibFU degree gives many advantages in China because it proves solid language knowledge. SibFU has excellent amenities. By way of contrast, water use is expensive in Chinese universities, and the lights are switched off in the evening in some dormitories.
When I was a student in a Chinese private school the lights were switched off at 11 pm. SibFU provides international students with comfortable apartments with all amenities».

Corrales Brian, Columbia, Master’s degree program, School of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering:
«It has been a great personal and professional experience. The university has very good facilities to carry out investigations and an excellent campus to have a quiet student life. I have had the opportunity to meet great people, and make friends from different countries. The city is very quiet, safe and has very beautiful landscapes. There are facilities to practice snowboarding or skiing in winter, and the temperature can be up to + 26-30 °C in summer. Siberian culture is the best!».

Rashon Chaykhakan, Thailand, Master’s degree program, School of Education, Psychology, and Sociology:
«I’m a Master’s degree student at School of Education, Psychology, and Sociology, majoring in Management of Educational Innovations. When I lived in Thailand I had no thought of studying abroad. However, after I finished school my parents insisted on my studying at a Russian university. Last year I came to SibFU to study Russian after my friends’ recommendations.
When I arrived here I was very nervous as it was my first long-distance trip. Krasnoyarsk turned out to be similar to my native city. Despite the fact I didn’t speak any Russian at all, everybody did their best to understand and support me. SibFU dormitories meet all international standards and resemble condos in Thailand, which is very convenient!
At a particular moment, I’m a Master’s degree student and do my research about comparative analysis of the assessment system in Russia and Thailand. My supervisor is of great help to me and gives good pieces of advice. I don’t feel lonely as I have met many friends here. We always help each other. I would like to invite everyone to come and study here. This university provides you with valuable experience, knowledge, and you will meet a lot of friends, and make useful contacts».

Joseph Yaw Dawson, Ghana, Master’s degree program, School of Economics, Management and Environmental Studies:
«My name is Joseph Yaw Dawson. At this moment, I’m a master’s degree student, majoring in Banking and Finance at the School of Economics, Management and Environmental Studies, SibFU. After having my first and second degrees at the University of Cape Coast, I made up my mind to study abroad. It was my dream to study in Russia. The tuition fee is not very high here if compared with other countries. The dormitory amenities and the campus facilities meet international standards.
I was deeply impressed by the stunning beauty of Siberian nature and local people’s friendliness. They are always of great help, as well as the SibFU’s volunteer center.
I’m planning to become a postgraduate student at SibFU in the future and get a PhD».
