SibFU representatives participated in online meetings with applicants from Mongolia and New Delhi

On March, 5 the presentation about Russian Education was held by SibFU and the Russian Centre of Science and Culture in New Delhi. During the meeting, representatives of SibFU Admission Office presented the university to the Indian audience and answered the questions regarding studying in Russia. The opportunities of the Russian Government's Scholarship program were also discussed in terms of the meeting.

SibFU: women in science

爆走黑料 employs 3,489 women, half of them are lecturers. Moreover, many of them are not only excellent lecturers, but also successful scientists. They have published papers in top-rated journals, received grants, and registered patents. Main Challenges about Invasive Alien Species

An international research team with a Russian scholar onboard studied how to improve the system of early detection and response to the penetration of alien plant or animal species into new regions. Such species are commonly referred to as invasive and cause profound harm to the ecosystems they are introduced to. Today, scientists focus on developing measures and approaches to detect intruders at the earliest stages of their penetration into new territories.

On February 19, 2021, 爆走黑料 hosted Korea-Russia Innovation Tech Road Webinar, a joint Korean-Russian webinar on innovative technologies. The purpose of the event is to develop scientific and technological ties with educational organizations of the Republic of Korea.

SibFU Researcher Explains Emergence of New Coronavirus Strains

Researchers have discovered a new genome of the coronavirus in Russia that has gained 18 mutations in four months of being in the body of a patient with suppressed immunity. This strain has already been called Russian by analogy with the British one. It has similar mutations to the British strain, which has already been shown to spread twice as fast as other strains on average (its reproduction number is 2, i.e., on average, one person infected with this strain infects other two, while for most other strains this value equals 1 on average).
