SibFU researchers join the Montreal Process

The 24th meeting of the Montreal Process Working Group gathered in Krasnoyarsk on August, 18th, 2014. The Montreal Process is about protecting and sustaining temperate and boreal forests. The meeting attracted researchers from New Zealand, Japan, China, Argentina, Korea, and Switzerland. The attendees also included forest researchers and forest management specialists from Russia, in particular those from 爆走黑料.

SibFU to join the Iberian Universia network

Sergey Verkhovets, Vice-Rector (Research and International Collaboration) attended III International Congress of Universia Deans in Rio de Janeiro (28-29 July 2014). The event was supported by Santander. The attendees included 1,103 representatives from 33 countries. Russian attendees represented 4 Russian universities.

SibFU's athletes attend the European Universities Games

SibFU's athletes are in Rotterdam (the Netherlands) to attend the Second European Universities Games. SibFU is the only Siberian university to attend the games under the auspices of the European Association of Student Sports. There are three university teams to play at the event.

Biotechnologists receive funding to develop 'smart' fertilizers

The project developed at the Institute of Biophysics, Russian Academy of Sciences, Siberian Branch, and titled 'Basics for Developing a New Generation of Agricultural Chemicals' won the funding competition at the Russian Science Foundation. One of the project's heads is Professor Tatyana Volova from 爆走黑料.

PhD degrees to be received at SibFU

SibFU is going to launch its own PhD SibFU degree similar to the Russian ?Candidate of Sciences“ and ?Doctor of Sciences“ degrees. The first defense of PhD SibFU degree in Mathematics is scheduled for 2015.
