30january Digital Museum of Geology presented to the public Faculty and students from the Institute for the Humanities, SibFU, completed the project 'Digital collections of the Museum of Geology, Central Siberia'. It was a joint project between the university and the Museum of Geology, Central Siberia. It was supported by the Regional Reserach Foundation.
22january SibFU wins Regional Universiade 2012 SibFU is the winner of Universiade 2012, the competition held among tertiary educational institutions in Krasnoyarsk and Krasnoyarsk Krai. The Institute of Commerce and Economics, SibFU, won the First Award in Smaller Universiade (among the institutions with the number of students lower than 2500).

27december Regional funding supports SibFU's energy research The Ministry of Industrial Production and Energy, Krasnoyarsk Krai allocated 9,45 million roubles to support the research, headed by Professor Eugeny Boiko, Director of the Polytechnic Institute, SFU.
25december SibFU's student attends Nobel Week Boris Lobastov, first year student from the Institute of Mining, Geology and Geotechnology attended the events that surround the Nobel Prize Award Ceremonies in Stockholm. He was one of the twenty five young researchers invited to Stockholm International Youth Science Seminar, a regular event accompanying Nobel week.

12december SibFU's young researcher to obtain the RF President's scholarship Eugeny Kuzmin, Associate Professor from the Department of Radioelectronics, Institute of Engineering Physics and Radioelectronics, SibFU, has won 2012-2014 competition to receive the RF President scholarship to support young researchers and doctoral students. His project was in the nomination 'Space technologies related to telecommunications including GLONASS and surface infrastructure'.
